Book series redesign of Quadrivium the classical curriculum, comprises the four liberal arts. Number, Geometry, Music, and Cosmology are explored throughout the six book series. These studies date back to the times of Socrates, Plato and other great minds around 500 BC in Southern Italy.
I created this display typeface with four different alternates. Each are inspired by geometry, the third dimension and planetary orbits. Adobe Jenson is used throughout the interior of the book series as well as the digital iPad application. In the iPad app the viewer is able to click on the play button and interact with the different theories expressed throughout the books. This leads to a better understanding and facilitates learning.
